PDF Converter 3.0

Someone who works a lot with text will always need to convert PDF files to text or vice versa. The Internet is swarming with PDF converting software, but you can never be sure which one will work better or if some of them work at all. Simply named PDF Converter, this software will perform both of these operations and it will also extract an image from a PDF or convert an image to this format.

The software will run on any operating system above Windows 2000. The 6.56 Mb setup file can be downloaded swiftly and the installation process will also go smoothly. Just specify a destination path, select what shortcuts you want to place and the software will be ready in a few seconds.

Converting to or from PDF with this program is a very simple task. The interface can be used as a normal explorer window, which means you can browse your folders with the aid of a navigation pane, on the left side of the window and see the content of a folder on the right side. The lower half of the window features two file lists: one for targeted files (on the left) and one for results (on the right).

Files can be converted immediately by clicking and dragging one or more of them to the left list and then clicking one of the three Convert buttons, found in the lower right area of the window. These can be used to extract images from a PDF, convert a text file to PDF or vice versa. The results will be displayed immediately in the right list. If you want to access the converted files right away, you can select one in the results list and click the View button above it.

By default, the program will save the results in the same folder as the source files. You can switch between different sets of options with the aid of four navigation tabs, placed on the interface. Converting documents can be done under the first tab and related options can be found under the second tab. Converting an image to PDF can be done the same way as with documents, but under the third tab. Just drag and drop an image file to a list and click a Convert button. Image related options can be accessed under the fourth tab.

Pros:
PDF Converter is fast and reliable. It will convert a file from or to PDF immediately. Unlike many conversion software, this one has no complex interface or options to navigate through. Just click and drag your files and hit a Convert button.

Cons:
Documents and images can be converted under separate tabs.

There is no easier way to convert PDF files than with PDF Converter. The user friendly interface and easy to understand options make it accessible to any user, regardless of experience.
